about

My first EP „Electronic Piano“ feels to me, although it only consists of four Tracks, like a huge milestone. I took me years until I found the right sound for these compositions. The oldest Track was written four years ago, but I arranged it over and over again. Now it’s finally „finished“ and it seems like I reached my destination - for the time being at least. It was a long way until the tracks felt a 100% right to me and would work, without being influenced by the latest trends, for many genres and tastes.
So I really want to show the Songs around now and hopefully move people with them. I want them to interact with their environment, evolve and become part of something else. Music has the ability to unfold so much power and work for a greater good on it’s own. This thought was my main motivation for the Music-Video „Humming“.

Although I already heard something about the massive dying of the bees, here and there, I only fully realized it in the Fall of 2016. The reason was the Film „More than Honey“ by Markus Imhoof, which was recommended to me by a friend.
The grotesque, surreal images of people sitting in trees pollinating them by hand and seeing these huge trucks, taking bee hives from farm to farm, because there are not enough bees in the natural environmental cycle, were very shocking to me.
You have probably heard the famous Einstein quote: „If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.“
We relate to such dystopian images, as to a very distant future or a science-fiction movie, but don’t carry on thinking about it too much. Because it belongs to a menace for your own life, which you cannot influence immediately and which seems so unlikely that you rapidly stop worrying about it any further.
But by ignoring and dementing threats like this, which are also caused by man, it evolves into an irreversible situation. We have to talk and inform one another about it, if we want to change something.
People have to hear it over and over again, until they fully realize that this is real and start taking it seriously.
I want to spark interest and conversations with this Video, so that hopefully people who watch it start talking about the extinction of the bees with their friends. And maybe at some point, lots of little actions and contributions lead to a solution to this tragedy. I hope so at least - for the well-being of all of us.

Schlindwein is a Pianist, Producer and Composer from Berlin.
At the age of 5 he started taking classical piano lessons and showed his teacher first attempts of own compositions when he was just 8 years old.
When he began producing electronic music as a teenager, he incorporated the melodic and harmonic influences of composers like Chopin or Debussy into his style.
He embraces electronica, deep house and solo-piano tracks altogether, where you can always distinguish his signature melodies.
Schlindwein released his first single „Beautiful Day“ (feat. Lulu Schmidt), which was part of the feature movie „Fucking Berlin“, in October 2016 and reached immediately remarkable success in streaming and radio airplays.
He plays live in various new and legendary locations of Berlin, has bookings all over Europe and is a resident artist of the infamous „Berliner Elektrosalon”.
