This is the Debut-Album of the pianist/producer/ composer Schlindwein.
After composing in different genres and styles in the past three years he says: „this is the first time I feel like I produced a coherent body of work which forms a full circle listening experience. The music comes from my deep love for the piano as well as electronic music and my goal for gluing them together into something that makes people feel and share my excitement“.
The whole Album was written during the summer of 2018 in a couple of weeks in Berlin. After the writing process Schlindwein teamed up with NHOAH to produce and finish the record. They
drove to the Austrian countryside „Wachau“ where they set up some equipment in an old winery and performed the whole album in one go.
„I liked the idea of performing the whole thing live and then go from there, because it made me look at the album like a concert and connected all the songs to one big piece of music“ , says Schlindwein. Thats also where the name of the Album comes from. It is a singular recording of the compositions performed with piano and an electronic ensemble of Synths, Samples and Drum-Machines.
The music is filled with Piano Melodies which are in a flirt with rolling Basslines, House- Drums and atmospheric Synths. The songs introduce you to a positive melancholy and take you on a mind journey. The most common denominator here is Deep-House, but the compositions drift over the edges of just one genre. The whole Album evolves around a feeling of deep, warm nostalgia and the artists very personal style of writing melodies and capturing emotions through them. The Album can get you into the mood of starting a night out, but can be listened on headphones while sitting in the bus just as well.
